There are only a few Czech bands that have become greater legends of the heavy metal scene than Vitacit! These pioneers of Czech metal are inseparably linked to the history of the local Hard & Heavy movement — their music is synonymous with powerful melodies, distinctive guitar riffs, and high-energy live shows. With a rich history and an unmistakable sound, Vitacit proudly continues to honor the legacy of classic metal — now infused with a modern spirit and an undying passion for music.
As unbelievable as it may seem, Vitacit is celebrating 50 years of existence this year. Two years of COVID-related concert bans left their mark not only on the cultural scene but also on the band’s lineup. Today, only bandleader and bassist Luděk Adámek and guitarist Honza "ACE" Bouška remain from the previous formation. The drums are now handled by the highly experienced Michal "Kolouch" Daněk, while seasoned musician Alex McBeat takes care of second guitar and vocals. Founding guitarist Pavel "Kuře" Hejč remains an honorary member of the band and joins the group whenever his schedule allows.
The current lineup performs Vitacit’s greatest hits from 1978 to 1992, while also introducing new songs from their upcoming album into their live set.
