Think 1980s disco hits and heavy metal can’t go together? Think again! Since 2004, the American band Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond has been proving that blending these two seemingly incompatible genres is not only possible but also incredibly refreshing and entertaining. Their debut album Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong (2006) transformed Bee Gees songs into a sound inspired by Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, and Guns N’ Roses, and in subsequent releases, the band reimagined tracks from ABBA, Bonnie Tyler, and even melodies from the musical *Hair*.
Tragedy stands out not only musically but also through their visual and performative approach. Their live shows are renowned for their theatricality, extravagant costumes, and humorous skits that merge metal energy with pop aesthetics, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience for audiences.
