TIAMAT, originally a death metal band formed in Sweden in the late 80s, became a major figure in symphonic black metal in the 90s, blending atmospheric, gothic elements with dark, heavy roots. Under the leadership of Johan Edlund, the only permanent member, TIAMATS's sound changed over time from aggressive metal to more melodic, gothic rock, especially with the 1994 breakthrough album Wildhoney. This shift continued on subsequent albums, culminating in 2002 with the release of Judas Christ, an album that fully embraced gothic rock. TIAMAT's later work reflected a more personal and affirmative lyrical direction, cementing their transformation within the genre. And now, this landmark band with a discography of ten full-length albums is heading to Spálené Poříčí!
