First time at Basin
Slovakia has given us many things, but nothing is quite as bizarre or unexpectedly brilliant as Pentagramček. Imagine a scenario where the creators of children's TV shows decided to undergo a mass conversion to worship the Prince of Darkness—that is exactly what this crew from Košice sounds like. Pentagramček is a unique project that serves up lyrics about rituals, sacrifices, and pure-bred Satanism with deadpan seriousness, all set to cheerfully bouncy, "summer camp-style" melodies.
Their performances resemble "Black Magic for Beginners" lessons, masterfully wrapped in the aesthetic of school recitals and children's sing-alongs. Tracks like "Môj malý pes Bobi" (My Little Dog Bobi) or "Kamarát" (Friend) will drill so deep into your brain that you won't be able to shake them even after a week in a monastery. With stone-faced composure, Pentagramček exploits the contrast between innocent form and extreme content, deftly parodying both metal clichés and religious dogmatism. At Basinfirefest, this will be the most cheerful and ironic highway to hell imaginable. Come and be "educated" in the spirit of darkness—with a smile on your face and a sing-along that would give any high-ranking clergyman a heart attack.
