As CARCASS themselves like to humorously point out, they are arguably the most influential band from Liverpool's Mercyside since the Beatles. These absolute classics, with their virtuosic musical performances, are some of the best in the genre they often helped define. Whether with the goregrind of Reek of Putrefaction and Symphonies of Sickness or in the case of melodic death metal with Heartwork, CARCASS have always been ahead of their time.
After reforming in 2007 after an 11-year hiatus, the band began drawing inspiration from the crowds at reunion shows once again. These veterans have never lost their distinctive signature and catchiness, which can captivate listeners across practically the entire metal spectrum.
