Formed around 1985 in Düsseldorf, Assassin quickly became one of Germany’s first thrash metal bands. They gained attention with their demo tapes "Holy Terror" (1985) and "The Saga of Nemesis" (1986). During the electrifying 1980s, Assassin stood alongside Kreator, Sodom, and Destruction as one of the most crucial European thrash metal acts, taking part in the transatlantic battle of crushing riffs against their American counterparts.
While "Interstellar Experience" remains their most iconic release, it’s important to note that the band has stayed creatively active well into the new millennium, proving that their thrash metal machine is still running at full throttle.
