Ignoring the work of Canadians PANZERFAUST could make an extreme metal fan regretful in retrospect. It is probably unnecessary to mention that this excellent black band founded in 2005 has toured with Marduk, Watain and others, it is better to include it somewhere musically. Black metal is obvious in this case, but its traditional position is inconvenient.
While PANZERFAUST can unleash the devil, they are also heavily atmospheric, with guitar work that adds nervousness and constant needle prodding (see for example "Promethean Fire" or "The Faustian Pact"), but they are not afraid to venture into minor experiments. The dark nihilistic music carries grim images of the future of the human race and hopelessness through a philosophical gaze, and musically follows in the tradition of French avant-garde, Scandinavian orthodoxy and Polish hitmaking, so it will come as no surprise to anyone now that we'd recommend them to fans of Deathspell Omega, Svart Crown, Kriegsmachine, Outre, Mgla or Watain. Add to that a clear sound and great instrumentation with melancholic passages and pure hatred. This band, currently one of the top bands on the black metal scene, creates at times an otherworldly audiovisual experience. Their simple presentation and absolute directness should not escape any fan of the blackest genre.
